The McKee family owned a schooner at Pirate's Cove Marina, and were an active part of PC events and gatherings. Here, (and above) Charity and her son Akira joined us on a beautiful day for a motor cruise down the Multnomah Channel.

Gabrielle's Sister Kim, came to visit early in September, just in time for this year's Portland Pirate's Festival, held on the waterfront in St. Helen's. She brought this great outfit, and really got into the spirit of things! We were grateful for her visit, and sorry to see her head back for the East Coast so soon.

Sailing with the Beckwiths
2009 was a great season for sailing on the Columbia, as we saw when we invited Kathy and Ted Beckwith (and their little dog Sam) for an afternoon sail. After beating downstream for several hours, we sailed wing-on-wing for almost two hours back upstream to the mouth of the Willamette. What a great, memorable day!
Julie Kummer
Julie has been a friend and respected colleague of Gabrielle's for many years. She joined us for an afternoon sail, and took a turn at the wheel on the trip back home. Carmen supervised.
Hans Kersteter and Allison Bennett
Allison and Hans have graced the decks of Moontide a number of time over the last several years. Both played integral roles in rescuing 'Moony' on her fateful day when the mast broke. Thanks, crew!
Tom and Carolee Hill
We don't get to have the Hill's out on the boat nearly as much as we'd like, but any day sailing with them is a good day!

Larry Hanson June 25th, 2011
Larry Hanson and Michael have been friends since third grade. Larry moved to the "Great North" years ago, and reemerges periodically. Here, he reappeared just in time to help us save Moontide on the day her mast broke.
The Grossnickle FamilyMichael's sister Noreen, her husband Walt, and their son Jeff have sailed on the Moontide, and are always enthusiastic crew.

Sharon SparksMichael's other sister Sharon has been a Moontide supporter since first giving Michael a ride out to look at the boat in Long Beach, CA in 2006. She sailed with her brother the first time they took MT out of the harbor in San Pedro!
